Our Community

Our community is diverse so our partnerships are plural, whether for a season or a session. So our black majority congregation, many of whom have strong links with Jamaica, means that we often host a Jamaica Day service in August, or on a sadder note, see our 500 seat church full for a caribbean heritage funeral.

Our building, though often cold has a warm sound and so concerts are often held here. For the last few years, we have been delighted to host Manchester Inspirational Voice's Easter offering. They transform the space as their sound raises the roof.

Artists regularly exhibit in our North aisle exhibition space. There is also usually at least one piece by the textual lettering artist Stephen Raw, who has a studio in the church cellar. http://www.stephenraw.com
