Joy to the World...birds and songs for Christmas

Joy to the world

Angel birds unfurl on the wing

sing their news as they throng

 the infant king uncurls his palm

 signs mother and earth the song

Joy to the world! The Lord is come,

let earth receive her king,

let every heart prepare him room

and heav’n and nature sing

and heav’n  and nature sing

and heav’n and nature sing

Joy to the earth! The Saviour reigns;

let us our songs employ;

while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains,

repeat the sounding joy,

repeat the sounding joy,

repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
